Haymarket Police Department
Our Tax Dollars at Work!
Submitted by Anonymous on Sun, 02/21/2010 - 7:50pm. Haymarket Police DepartmentSo our town is in a fiscal crisis. We order 2 new police cars last year for a 5 man department when most jurisdictions are cutting back. We have a Chief and a Sgt who take a car home but never come in off duty?
Now, our Town Police Officers don't even patrol the streets in the town???!?!?
This cruiser has been parked in a neighborhood in gainesville for over an hour now. The Officer is not on a call and he is out of his jurisdiction.
What are the Town Council and Chief doing??
It appears that nothing has changed in the past few years!

If you cause serious bodily injury without intent, the charge is unlawful wounding.
A charge of aggravated malicious wounding is when the victim is severely injured, and caused permanent physical damage or disfigurement.
What are the penalties for Malicious / Unlawful Wounding in VA?
Under Virginia criminal code, Malicious Wounding is a Class 3 felony, which carries with in penalties of up to 20 years in prison.
Why has the Town Police Web page dissapeared from the town's web page?
Submitted by Walter Raliegh Dr on Wed, 10/03/2007 - 4:22pm. Haymarket Police DepartmentJust curious since we were looking for contact info for the neighborhood watch and we discovered that the web page and email links have been removed from the web page.
Scheduling
Submitted by Broomstick on Mon, 07/23/2007 - 9:27am. Haymarket Police DepartmentI was in Town most of the weekend. Saw that the Chief was working Saturday night for the trailer concert. Also saw him in Town last night working...or at least parked in front of the Harrover house. Funny thing was I also counted 2 patrol cars driving throughout Town on both days.
So we had 3 officers working Saturday and Sunday...but none on the night those folks got stabbed?
Stabbing in Haymarket!
Submitted by WatchDog on Wed, 07/04/2007 - 12:22am. Haymarket Police DepartmentApproximately 1 hour ago there was a double stabbing in the Town of Haymarket!
This occurred at the Sheetz Gas Station at the intersection of Route 55 and Route 15 within the town limits.
Calls for help went unanswered by Haymarket Police so Prince William County was forced to respond.
Detectives and Officers from Prince William County Police are currently on the scene at this time.
I can't believe that once again, NO HAYMARKET POLICE OFFICERS ARE WORKING!
More details as soon as we get it.
Just remember - Always on Guard

Submitted by facts4you on Thu, 05/24/2007 - 7:29pm. Haymarket Police DepartmentIf you ever come across the path of the chief ask him about a girl he knows named "Marsha"! Ask about how he knows her and what she may want to say about him. Before you end the conversation ask about when he worked at Frederick County Sheriff's office and how he was locked out of his patrol car! Real funny story! Maybe he will indulge you in a great story about why he left the department. Funny how things are discovered when you make other people upset! When you try to go after a good person be prepared for what you really deserve. Remember that Karma can be quite powerful!
Speaking about Karma, isn't it time for the infamous Corporal to get involved in discussions, when you chat with him ask him about the police officer's he worked with at Prince William County. Ask him about Officer Lapihuska or Officer Newman. Maybe you can remind him of the officer that translated Spanish for him on a call that he answered. Maybe he will answer you with the truth or maybe he will indulge you with a story as well. Once again, it's funny how you can get so much information from people when they just don't like you and feel like chatting. It's amazing what people will say. You too will eventually get your chance to have some time in the headlines! Don't be shy! :o)
Police Cover-up - K-9 Disappears!
Submitted by WatchDog on Mon, 05/07/2007 - 12:49am. Haymarket Police DepartmentCitizens of Haymarket,
Once again the Chief of Police has opened up our Town to civil liability. Several poeple have recently discovered that the Chief and his K-9 have not been trained and/or certified for over 1 year now. This means the Chief was using his dog when not properly certified.
He has been submitting bills/invoices to the town and WE have been paying them. I suggest that this is the same as embezzlement. The Chief has knowingly been using a dog that he has not been certified to use. He has knowingly been forcing the Town to pay the bills for his pet that he keeps as his home.
False Charges!
Submitted by B_Ishmael on Fri, 05/04/2007 - 8:27pm. Haymarket Police DepartmentI figured I might as well post this since it will be in the paper soon. Besides, the only people that read this site are people that dislike the police department and I can’t see what more can happen to me now except maybe more false charges......
Two days ago I was called by a detective from Prince William County Police Department telling me that they just received two warrants for my arrest. They asked if I could just turn myself in at the magistrate’s office instead of having someone pick me up from my house. I was told that the warrants were Misdemeanors and that they were showing that it is not permissible to be released on a signature. Basically that means that the warrants had to be served and I had to be taken to the jail to be processed by finger printing me and having my picture taken and then go before the magistrate to determine a bond. Once I got to the magistrate office I was shown the criminal complaint letter that showed who got the warrants for me and what the probable cause was to have them issued. The complaint was filed by an investigator from the Commonwealth Attorney's office. I won’t mention his name because he would probably just get even more pissed off with me and try to charge me again for something else. SO...... to continue my ordeal…… I found it very odd that the warrants were not releasable on a signature like they should have been because they are not serious offenses that would require an average person to be brought before the magistrate. Normally a signature is required for a Misdemeanor especially for what kind it was and the fact that I am a police officer. I know what some are saying, just cause you are a cop doesn’t give you special treatment. But, the purpose of bringing someone in is to make it more difficult on them and that is an option that the person obtaining the warrant can request. But No, It was made personal by the person obtaining the warrants to make sure I was brought in just for the added luxury of trying to humiliate me in front of my peers. It almost worked had they not gotten my explanation and had a great laugh at the fact that I was brought in over this type of charge and that it was issued in the first place! Thanks guys for trying to make me laugh and cheer me up. It did help out in light of everything!
