Would someone give us a schedule

Haymarket Police Department

I have not seen a Haymarket Police presence in several days. I think the town should provide the residents a schedule of the days and times we should expect patrols from Haymarket Police Dept. I find it only fair to see when our tax money is being spent.

Won't a schedule be bad?

Wouldn't a schedule be a bad thing to post to the public?

I am not the smartest apple in the barrel, but would that not let the criminal elements allow themselves to schedule crimes?

Would it be better to say that the Town officers would patrol every Mon., Wed., and Fri. and PWC officers will patrol nights and other days not covered?

I can tell you when they weren't working!

7pm on Monday night the 10th of April. Some guy was beating his wife in the parking lot of McDonalds. Haymarket Police weren't on duty. We had to call Prince William Police. The guy took off and went down 15 before the police arrived. I hope that lady is OK.

I thought we had 5 officers now!

I saw that someone said the Chief is on vacation. I guess everyone is.

Geeze - Whos who - when would the best time to plan crime be

Whos who - Are you not the brightest apple to fall off of a tree????
Think about it!

News man - Scientist tell us that for every question a mathematical solution can resolve the problem. Ok, I did some basic math.....5 officers - one is out sick or on comp time or on vacation or (I dont know) sebatical? - geeze I want a job with Haymarket, all those benefits, anyway, that leaves 4; pretty much elementary. Ok, easy enough so far.....(24x7) - (4 X 40)= 8...there you go (darnit, I am good), that explains why no Haymarket Police Officers were on duty.

Fuzzy Math

Sir please re-calculates your numbers. We have 5 officers, times 40 hours = 200 hours a week. A week has 168 hours in it leaving double coverage for 32 hours a week. With the information provided by the mayor, the chief was suppose to return to work last Thursday, I have not seen him or any other officers this past weekend. As far as your comment on "the best time to comment a crime". Our town is patrolled by the Prince William County police department as well; they provide continuous patrols of our area. So regarding your Fuzzy math, if we used your calculations we should have seen an officer this week-end. But sadly we go unprotected by the Haymarket Police Department again.

Oh lawdy I have to educate them as I go along

Per news man's first statement the incident occured on April 10th at 7 pm. Last Thursday was April 13th, hence 4 Haymarket Police Officers for a possible weekly schedule not 5. My math is correct, and no, residents in any community should not have the police officer's schedule posted in a public and open web site.

I hate to agree with Comedy

1st - I have to agree with Glen..umm I mean Comedy. (Funny how they both ramble.) Anyway, we shouldn't have a copy of the PD's schedule.

2nd - Comedy wrote " one is out sick or on comp time or on vacation or (I dont know) sebatical? - geeze I want a job with Haymarket, all those benefits,"

That is the point.. can we guess who is missing?? Ohhh that is right... it is the leader! The Chief that this current council continues to employ. Imagine that!

Just remember - Always on Guard
