Police Chief absent from Meeting...who answers questions?

From 1/25/06 Continuation meeting of Town Council:

Jarboe motions to appoint Mayor as liaison to the Police Department through March 2006, Sikorsky seconds;
Tobias-Yes, Sikorsky-No, Cole-Yes, Garcia-Yes, Jarboe-Yes, Weir-Yes

Since nobody from the Council is acting as the liaison between the PD and Council...that job reverts back to the department head (the Chief). Since the Chief was absent on Monday night and he didn't send his Sergeant in his place, who answers Council's questions?

Just curious.

council liaison to PD

I thought Bob Weir was liaison to the PD. If he in fact was, why is he no longer the liaison? And Sikorsky seconded the motion to appoint the Mayor as Liaison but then she voted "no"???

Wier was the liasion until January, then Stutz took over. Why Skiorsky voted as she did, nobody will know. Ask her I guess.
