Reserve Officer Program

Excerpt from Council Minutes:

Council motions to suspend the reserve officer program indefinitely, and to task the Chief to provide a written report to council by February 28, 2006 detailing his recommendations for the necessity and professional operation of a reserve officer program.

Letter from Chief of Police to Town Council. Submitted on 2-28-06 barely.

So let me get this straight.

The Chief has been running a Reserve Police program for 5+ years right? Then why can't he justify the program to the Council within a months time frame as ordered?

I would love to see the report he presents in June! My money says there will never be a report.

Another question - Why do you need to research Federal Laws? The Federal Law has nothing, NOTHING to do with reserve program in a local police department. LOL!

Do the citizens not realize that this Chief is LOST!! How does this Town Council keep him as Chief??

I will never understand!

Once Again Chief Defies Council's Orders

Well, the Town Council orders the Chief to have his report in to them on February 28, 2006. He then provides them with this unbelievable idiotic letter with a self imposed deadline of June 5, 2006.

Once again, he produced nothing! WHY, WHY, does this council continue to employ such an inept Chief that barely shows up for work???

Why do you not hold this Chief accountable for his actions or lack thereof? He has already been advertising for over a month for a position that doesn't exist and the Council has not approved.

What are you guys doing?
