Sometimes Weir Amazes Me!

Did anyone see the article in the paper the other day about Bob Weir?

Stewart cool on land rezoning

The article states, "It's Weir's contention that the county did not follow state code when it approved the rezoning at Haymarket Landing."

Are you kidding me? The Town of Haymarket is going to point out Zoning Violations to the County?

Maybe they should follow and/or enforce their own zoning code before they try to tell someone else what they have done wrong.

Violation - The Town Police Department is on property that is ZONED only as Residential Property and not Commercial Property.

The town violates their own codes, laws, and ordinances all the time. I really can't believe that they are using that argument with the County.

Look a the current policy

The grey house located at 6620 Jefferson St meets every criteria as a "blight" property under state code and zoning ordinances. however I seriously doubt that the town will do anythig about it.
Who actually enforces the building codes? The guy who inspects decks?

I thought the grey house was one of the 'historical' properties that were being renovated and preserved for posterity with the 2.3 million dollar sale of the Town property?

Are the details of that particular 'deal' available online anywhere?

Honestly it is not Bob Wier. The entire town council is like a bad partent. "Do as I say not as I do," mentality. We have a mayor who will not reel in a corrupt police department. We have a vice mayor who thinks you can effectively represent his town from 13,000 miles away in a combat zone ( I am sure that is very acessable)
The rest seem as lemmings unknowing of the problems that swirl around them.

Mayor Stutz will never reel in the police force because she is sleeping with the chief when she isn't sleeping with other women. Weir will always be an annoying unibrow that whines to get his way and embarrasses the town in front of the county. The vice mayor should have his seat reliqueshed since he is not coming back to the town anytime soon. The overweight council member needs to learn how to grow a backbone and follow her own political ethics. The husband and wife duo need to get as far away from the town politics as possible.

The town council is a joke! As for the land that the police are on, it is not zoned for business and it should be returned to the town and the police should move into town hall.

They will never go back into Town Hall. Then people would know when they work ( or don't work) As far as the mayor's personal life I could care less but she should be accountable for what is going on under her.
