Police Lies

We need a whole new police department staff, Not a new police department building. What part of that did the town council not understand last year when complaints were voiced about the police department?! Now we still have the same "quality" of policing in our town, but now they have a new office to call home. Wake up and smell the coffee! I never knew that my vote would have amounted to this. When the time comes for voting again I will know what I need to look at more closely to make certain that the unwanted mayor is not in office and that the new mayor has the ability to clean house the correct way. What has the "New Town Manager" done to help the town? So far I have not seen any improvements with any of the much needed work on the streets. The roads are horrible, no sidewalks, Lights that don't work at night, and the advertisement for the town is nowhere to be seen. Why do we have to voice our frustration over and over again and not be understood by the town council? We put them in their positions and we can have them removed if they fail to do their duties properly. As for the police department, every single officer there is a laughing stock of every police department in the area. I listen to them make jokes about the chief and the sergeant and their faithful sidekick corporal. It amazes me that they even have enough nerve to wear their uniforms and go to work knowing that every other police officer in the surrounding areas are laughing at them on a daily basis. Wake up guys, they may not laugh in your face but believe me when I say that every police agency does not like you and they all think you are nothing more than a bunch of clowns. Nobody wants your help and nobody needs you to. I've heard from many that they would prefer you stay in town and take a nap rather than help them out because they don't want to worry about making sure you don't get yourself hurt doing real police work. Stop trying to be a part of PWCPD and stay in town and off the Highways. The troopers don't need you to help them do their jobs either. Again, nobody wants you and nobody needs you. I say that we let PWCPD handle our town. It's not that big for them to have an officer assigned to the area to help out. We certainly don't need the three clowns that we have now!

I had no clue about any of this stuff! I am shocked and sad that the town council has not gotten rid of these three officers. Is there a reason why the council or mayor has not terminated the employment of these guys? I am so disappointed that the town council and people that were aware of these issues allowed them to continue their employment. I think next election I will vote differently! Yes, I voted for the Mayor Stutz and if she runs again I wont for her or anybody that is implicated with covering the police department corruption. We deserve better!

I suppose nobody in Haymarket cares that the entire police department is ran by a bunch of liars and a corrupt officials!

They have been proven time and time again that they lie, cheat, cover up wrongdoings, and they all have no morals or ethics to be respected by the town citizens. When the police stop you and tell you that you were speeding, ask them about what moral ethics they have to judge you for an offense when they were accused by several people and found to be corrupt in the workplace, found to be liars when it comes to investigations, and ask why the chief does not issue any tickets! You will either be ignored or the officer may use unauthorized use of force against you with intimidation of more charges or will physically assault you and say that you were the aggressor!

Be careful citizens. It is time we all band together as brothers and fight the town council and the town police. We deserve better and we must not stop our fight until the day comes when the police are disbanded and the mayor is fired from her position for allowing the corruption to continue!

We all need to sign the petition that was mentioned on here and make sure that the circuit court judge gets to hear the voice of the citizens. Remember that you have the right to fight for your town and can request any witness you want to help you.

I know several officers that would be more than willing to testify under oath of what really happens behind closed doors at the police department!

What is wrong with the Town of Haymarket that they can allow police officers with problems like this to be hired? Obviously the more corrupt, the better they like them. That way, Roop doesn't feel so alone in his corruption. The only decent officers to be hired are all long gone. As soon as Roop finds out they are honest and dedicated cops, he finds ways to get rid of them. I guess he is afraid they will find out what he is like and turn on him, like they have done in the past. Something needs to be done about this now. Or are they going to sweep it under the rug again like they did last time. Roop sure has a good ally in Mayor Stutz.

After all the bad stuff said about the chief and the sergeant, I think most of us are forgetting about the other officer that has some pretty bad skeletons in his closet. Granted, he keeps a low profile; his past has not been unnoticed. It appears Corporal Kenworthy is a former Marine. From there he was hired as a Federal Police Officer with the CIA which is basically being a security guard that makes sure unwanted people don't enter the facility. Once hired by them he attended the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center. He didn’t last long at that job and then he was hired by Prince William County Police and went through their police academy and after completion he was assigned to the Western side of Prince William County. He was part of the bicycle team as well as a patrol officer during his short stay with Prince William County. It seems while he worked for PWCPD his true colors started to take shape and got noticed. He was brought before the PWC Internal Affairs to be investigated for threatening a citizen while he was on a call at a local 7-Eleven and was witnessed by two fellow officers which were willing to testify for the investigation against Corporal Kenworthy and since he was once questioned and lied about the issue prior to finding out that others were going to not cover for him he decided to resign. From PWC he went to work for Haymarket Police Dept. where the chief and sergeant will hire any officer regardless of their backgrounds. He ended up trying to help the chief and sergeant cover up a sexual harassment claim by several police officers and was listed as a witness that was being vague and not forthcoming with information. He was in the paper for leaving court early to go to a school class and had his cases dismissed because of it. This issue reflected once again in the paper and made a big splash when the chief lied to the press to cover for Kenworthy and that is how the resignation of the town attorney was unveiled when she said that the chief lied to cover up for Kenworthy and she could not ethically represent the chief after he lied to the press which reflects his credibility to the citizens. Since each of the three has covered up lies for one another they keep the place in the shadows and have destroyed the reputation of the Haymarket Police Dept. Kenworthy was given the rank of Corporal to be in charge of the newly formed Reserve program and that has been a flop so far. Most of the reserves don’t show up and the rest aren’t certified. Now Corporal is apparently a detective for the Haymarket Police Dept. and also is in charge of Internal Affairs along with a reserve officer. It is not very surprising to see why this police agency has been labeled as the “black sheep” of Northern Virginia. Every current Full Time Police Officer has lied during their career as a police officer and has either been suspended or fired or forced to resign from other police agencies. Things will never change with Haymarket Police as long as the three are still working there and any officer that becomes a new member will only be an outsider that either mixes in with their corrupt ways of habits or will end up leaving once he or she realizes how messed up his coworkers are. The town needs to evaluate what type of police force they want. One that is corrupt or one that they can be proud of and represent the town in a positive manner.

I think using the word, "WOW" is enough for my response to this article! Is this really the best that Haymarket has to offer as a police force? Is this the reject department that people go to when nobody else will hire them? I feel pretty damm bad for Ishmael to get involved with this department. Hope wherever he ends up will be better than this place. It wouldn't surprise me if he didn't even know about all this crap before he started with Haymarket. I think I will start to request Prince William to come out whenever I have a problem because atleast they have well trained officers that aren't considered liars or they probably wouldnt be working for PWC.
