"The Haymarket Smoking Gun"

Meet your officer's

Haymarket Police Department

Where to start....

Chief - Has worked for over 5 different agencies and has been accused as a liar by the newspaper in 2005 for his coverup with Ofc. Kenworthy leaving court early and missing cases. Then there was the involvement with the sexual harassment suit filed against the department. The chief was found to be part of the cause of the hostile work enviroment. He also was the reason why the town attorney resigned.

Sgt - Was let go from atleast two agencies. Had an EPO made against him for making his estranged wife feel in danger. Also involved in the sexual harassment suit and was also found to be the cause of a hostile work enviroment.

Cpl. Kenworthy - Resigned from PWCPD for pulling his gun out and threatening a citizen and then lied during IAD and was forced to resign. Helped coverup the sexual harassment suit filed against his two supervisors that lead the report to include that he was not being forthcoming with his statement for unknown reasons. Has a tendency to be a little too rough with citizens that he encounters using curse and abuse towards people that he encounters. All of which was witnessed by other officer's and State Police Troopers.

That is your current police department.

As for the reserves.

There are roughly six.

1 that was given a promotion to Captain because he didn't want to attend the full academy and so the department made up responsibilities that would allow DCJS to give him a waiver

the second guy is another one that has no certification in VA as a police officer. Showed up to work with blue and red lights in his car even though he had no business to have them

the third is a guy that has limited experience and hardly ever shows up

the fourth just started and still isnt sure if he wants to stay around

the fifth works at another agency and only comes to Haymarket to into reports

the sixth is a girl that is about to fail the police academy.

This is what Haymarket has as a police force. Be proud... Not!

Laughing all the way

If this is true I hope it gets him in as much trouble as officer Ishmael got into. So this is the one that did ofc Ishmaels internal affairs investigation? Now he's out drinking in uniform and hitting on girls while he is married. Great job super trooper! How funny would it be to see a picture of Kenworthy drinking a beer in uniform at a bar from a camera phone! Does anybody have one cause if they do I would pay a huge price to have it so I can share it with the local news. Let me know!

Regarding "MEETING the officers "

Now you also can meet with them at Fosters Grille , while on duty "drinking beer" and flirting with the waitress .
Smart move officer K .

Seriously

Someone actually saw Ofc. Kenworthy drinking alcohol at fosters? Was he in uniform? Who was he flirting with? This is some serious stuff and especially with all the sexual harassment issues with the chief and sergeant. What an idiot. Was he on duty or off? It really doesn't matter because cops arent suppose to drink any alcohol while in uniform. Wow

for the record

The reserves are volunteers.

The first is a honorary Captain with some experience in another state but I'm not sure how much street experience he has. He was made a Captain because the department didn't want to send him through the entire academy and that is what would have had to happen in order for him to get certified in VA through DCJS. So, they made a letter to DCJS saying that he would be an admin. person so that he would not be patrol and therefore not be required to attend all the necessary courses DCJS requires. Also, I would say he spends more time on vehicle patrol than admin. which has me concerned about what DCJS was informed.

The second is a guy that came from a state down South and was only a reserve down there and has no real street experience and as of this date is not DCJS certified to be a police officer in VA and needs to complete a lot of classes to become certified. Yes, he showed up with lights in his personal car but he was told to remove them immediately. I have no idea why he had them since he was not a police officer and his job did not require him to respond to work with emergency equipment. He needs a lot of training and maybe he will eventually.

The third reserve came from Falls Church and runs his own business and is a nice guy and is DCJS certified. He lacks some of the street experience because he was only a reserve in Falls Church and still is wet behind the ears and doesnt have much time to devote to the department but he is a pretty cool guy. He has potential to become a good street cop if he puts more time and attention into working the streets.

The fourth guy is DCJS ceritified and is a police supervisor at another police department and is primarily used to help out with Haymarket by entering police reports for the department. He is a nice guy and is certified but is not a street cop but has the potential if he wanted to be because he is motivated and just needs to refresh on some procedures.

The fifth guy just got hired from another agency and he is DCJS certified and has experience but he too is too new to figure out and works a lot at his job to devote much time to the department. I think he has only ridden with the Haymarket like three or four times so he needs a lot of more hours like 90 before he can be cut loose on his own.

The sixth and last person is a female that is apparently flunking from the police academy. This girl was not the best choice to be hired but I think the department wanted to give her a chance and it might have been a bad mistake. I kind of feel sorry for her because I know she wants to be a cop but I just dont think she has it in her. As they say, some people have it and others dont.

I hope this helped clear up some things about the reserves. They are all pretty decent guys/girl but they all need to be trained and properly. They all need to be DCJS certified except the three but even they need to learn more about how to handle themselves alone on the street. They are always friendly and helpful when they are working.

Sounds pretty accurate

I would have stated a few things differently, but all in all it looks close to be correct.

Nice!!!

Now this is just really really nice to find out ! Thanks enforcer~whoever you might are .I think it is time to attend the town meeting and get some answers.
I do not understand how the people of Haymarket can just look at this and accept it ! Is everyone wearing shades in this town?

DISBAND THE POLICE DEPARTMENT

Disband the police department and pay Prince William county Police to do the job. This is outrageous that my taxes are supporting this.

WE DESERVE BETTER!!

I agree

Lets just get rid of the department and have Prince William County take over the coverage. Has the town actually handled enough calls inside the town to justify having a five full time officers and six reserves? That seems like a lot for a town that doesn't have a lot going on. This whole situation with officer Ishmael is crazy and like I said before I support him and his decision to either return to work or fight for his job. Lets just get rid of everybody and let Officer Ishmael be the only officer and save the town money. He could work the week time and allow PWC to work the night hours and weekends. That would save the town a lot of money and all the crap that goes on with the Chief and Sergeant will finally come to an end. Why do we need reserves anyways? Especially ones that arent certified or trained to work by themselves? They have been around since last October and they still arent trained. WOW. I met a few when they came through my neighborhood.

What do they do?

What really are they there for?
PW's was robbed at gunpoint 4 years ago no one from the town was working and Prince William handled the case. Chief shows up 2 hours later in a white t-shirt to see what happened and leaves. prince Willaim arrests the two people in Fauquier county later that week.

Baby is shaken and beaten to death on Madison Ct . HPD arrives but Prince William has to investigate this so they do nothing more that sit there and turn it over to them anyway.

Dog is shot on Cheyenne Way. Again Haymarket Police is there but does nothing and Prince Willaim PD handles the call. This is a dog getting shot and they can not handle this?

What are we getting? Bad press racist and sexist remarks form members of the department, no police presence. A parking ticket for no town tag so far has been my interaction. the clerk then got the ticket cancelled from the Sgt because there were no town tags to be had so we put the Prince William county decal up in the window. Later when the town decal arrived ( late and AFTER the deadline for them had passed) I was able to get one from town hall.
Why were they writing tickets for a violation that could not be enforced when they had no 2007 decals?
If all they do is write speeding tickets pay Prince William County to do this and get rid of them. the budget for the cars, dogsalaries, health insurance, and I would dare say soon some rather highlegal bills for lawyers would dissapear. We could have a nice park and a community pool for the kids or something that would be beifical instead of the problems we have now.

Once Again no Town Police

Well,
Sunday night vandals blew through Green Hill crossing spray painting and tearing up mailboxes, breaking antennas on cars and throwing out trash in yards. Called the police and Prince William County Police show up. Very nice decent young man. we asked where the town police were and guess what, they wern't working. The officer said they took 3 reports and had more waiting. I am sure that the rest of Prince William County would have liked to have police protection while the County was once again covering for the Town Police. Monday called the police department and guess what? No one was there during buisness hours to talk to me. WHAT ARE WE GETTING HERE!!!! ...NOTHING!....

Just pay Prince Willaim Police and get rid of the town police

wow

Where are the reserves?
Again,

They are not all certified or street ready yet. They are required to perform a certain amount of hours required by DCJS before they can but cut loose on their own. But again I will make the claim that they are all pretty decent guys. I havent had much time to work with them but they all seem dedicated to working when they are there.
