Chief wants budget increase?

Haymarket Police Department

If you read the article, Haymarket police get new drug sniffing, patrol dog, you will see that the Chief claims on April 14, 2004, that "Due to a recent rise in drug traffic in Haymarket and on Interstate 66, which passes through the town limits, the department recently acquired Faroh, a 77-pound Dutch shepherd, to act as a drug-sniffer and patrol dog."

Want to guess how many drug arrests the Chief and his dog has made since then? NONE!

That's right Citizens of Haymarket, we have spent over $15,000 of training, food, medicine, vet bills, time off for the Chief, etc. for NOTHING!

The Chief is now asking for a Budget Increase. Please contact the town council and let them know that you do not approve of a Budget Increase for the Town Police and that they should retire the Chief's Pet. See this Link for more info:

That dog has never served his purpose in a long time. Show us the police statistics from when the dog was used in the town on official police business that resulted in an arrest.
