Chief Works in Front Royal?

That's Right Citizens of Haymarket! You can't get the Chief to work a full week of work in Haymarket but it is easy for Front Royal to find him at home. Our tax dollars at work once again.

The Chief helped Front Royal Police search for Bank Robbers with his Dog. You know, the dog that there is no line item in the budget for this year.

Now lets think about this, the Chief was Home at 1pm during the week??? Odd, I guess the Town Council won't see anything wrong with that though. They are used to the Chief not being at work.

Ohhh, one more thing. Not that I need to tell you, but he and his dog didn't catch anything. That means that his dog has officially made NO - ZERO - 0 - ZIP busts in the past 3 years. Gotta love the wasted expense to us taxpayers!

has a job opening? Then, the Chief wouldn't have to drive 40 plus miles a day to work. And, since things are more laid back out in the country, nobody would mind that he lets people drink beers in front of the local gas station. Shoot, I bet they wouldn't mind it if he drove thru the back roads shooting at street signs while driving drunk.

As a tax paying resident, why should I be forced to move out of Town, when I know for a fact that the Chief is unable to properly run a department that my tax dollars pay for? I'd rather my tax dollars went towards funding a search for a replacement.

Why are the officers having so many DUI checkpoints and then causing coverage in Town to suffer the rest of the weekend. After the checkpoint last Friday night, I don't recall seeing a single officer in Town the rest of the weekend. Shouldn't the reserve officers fill in those gaps?

Please don't take my comments to mean that I'm against checkpoints, I think they have value. But, if everyone is working those 5 or 6 hours catching pass thru traffic and then we have nobody working the rest of the time, what kind of service are we the taxpayers getting? As a tax paying resident, why should I be forced to move out of Town, when I know for a fact that the Chief is unable to properly run a department that my tax dollars pay for? I'd rather my tax dollars went towards funding a search for a replacement.
