Chief of Police Falsifies Documents to Clerk of Court
Chief Roop has once again defied the Town Council! However, this time he may have broken the law.
On January 25, 2006, the Town Council suspended the Reserve Police Officer program in the town indefinitely. See Below:

The Council has never restarted the program to date.
Chief Roop then submitted paperwork to the Circuit Court Clerk to have Reserve Officer's sworn in when he knew that he was not authorized to take this action. I hope that the Commonwealth Attorney will look into this falsification of official court documents.
See the Oath of Office letters at the below listed link:
Haymarket Reserve Officers Sworn In without Authorization!
These 4 Police Officers are not authorized to be police officers. I would also contend that any arrests or charges they made the other night during the DUI checkpoint would be considered a false arrest.
Once again, the Chief of Police in Haymarket has brought a huge liability against the town.
I guess we will see how the Town Council responds. Hopefully the council will have more sense than the Mayor.
Just remember - Always on Guard
