Haymarket Police Dept. to hold DUI checkpoint

Haymarket Police Department will hold a DUI checkpoint from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. Saturday in Haymarket.

For more information, call the department at (703) 753-2700.

(Webmaster Comment - We can only assume that since this was posted in todays paper that the checkpoint is scheduled for Saturday, June 24, 2006.)

Wonder what would happen if someone saw the ad for the checkpoint and called for more information. Would they tell you all the details beforehand? Location, # of officers participating, etc?
Maybe they'd hand out the operational plan beforehand?

Town Council Monitors Chief

The Mayor & Council must be taking the complaints against the police department seriously. I saw them monitoring the Chief and his personnel at the road block on July 28th.

Maybe they are starting to learn that he needs some supervision?

Well, since the last one turned out so well - guess they want to try it again. Has anyone warned Mr. Fusaro about it? Do they have established guidelines? Because they haven't fulfilled any of the FOIA requests that have asked for them.

Why don't they have them on nights of other concerts?
Do they have something against country music and its fans?

Checkpoint

the last one was this past Friday...at the RR tracks on Jefferson...it was between 6pm and 10 pm. Guess the cold weather was too much for out fearsome crew.
I hear they made a few stops and a couple arrests...so not all was lost.
